A Hard Bagel
Plain. Ordinary.
Hardened after some time and
Exposed to the air.
Inside
Shackled and pinned down,
I’m tied up and my mouth’s gagged.
Or, that’s how I feel.
Coffee
I remember what it used to smell like.
My dad would reek of the stuff.
It was as though he bathed in it.
The fumes must have been capable of permeating skin.

There are two types of,
Well, people I suppose, right?

Gently rolls the waves
Crashing is too strong a word
