Charged
Performance mode engaged
Brightness at maximum
Wi-Fi connected
Mobile data pinging
Auto-rotate at the ready
Location tracking
Sync doing its thing
Screen unlocked
And I watch my battery drain
A percent at a time
Breadstick
Buttered and salted
Steaming pan of soft soldiers
Stand and deliver!
Earth
Green and blue, mother
Mountains and valleys, mother
Dirt and sky, mother
What I’ll Eat
Some corn
A steak
An apple
Some cake
Just Eat
Just nibble the cookie
One won’t hurt after all
You’ve worked so hard
You deserve it
Cumulus
Above all of us
In your ivory tower
Who stands above you?
Sense
It would appear that
Each one of us are rich in
Our own common sense
Woodchips
Exploded timbers
Scattered on gardens, playgrounds
Splinters, fat and thin
Mute
Want to talk
No shushing
No oppressing
No gagging
Nothing to say
