Sleepless nights I spend

Dreaming of the mistakes

I left just around the bend,

Hidden behind the lakes.

The signs read “No Phishing,”

But I can’t read them here,

As I spend twilight wishing,

One hand a rod, the other a beer.

And the morning draws nearer,

The shore drifts closer,

My mind no clearer,

The shore drifts closer.

Catch and release, then.

Sleepless nights I spend.

Empty-handed, again.

Back from the bend.

of dreamingState

Dripping foam,

Down from below,

Pools in red,

Around my fingers.

A yellow sky

Blots out the moon,

As a field of Daffodils

Cries out a sad song.

The dreamstate ends,

And is soon forgotten,

And is replaced

By yet another dreamstate.

Each a link

In the unbroken chain

Of waking

And of dreaming.
